Campground Rules

Slumber Valley is private property. We reserve the right to evict anyone not obeying the rules and regulations.

  • Camping season begins the 1st day of trout season in April and closes October 15.

  • Sites are rented on the basis of only one family (mother, father, and unmarried children; under the age of 16). Non-family campers sites are rented on the basis of only two people. Only ONE camping unit is allowed on site. Any other arrangement must be cleared through the office.

  • Check-in time is 2 P.M. Check-out time is 12 P.M.

  • No refunds will be made for inclement weather

  • No keg beer allowed in campground.

  • All wildlife must be protected. Do not deface trees – never put nails in them and do not chop them down. This rule will be strictly enforced. Any offender will be prosecuted by law and evicted from camp. A minimum charge of $75.00 will be made for any tree defaced or cut down. Firewood is for sale at office.

  • Fireplaces are not to be moved to prevent scars. No burning wood containing hardware, etc.

  • No minibikes, ATVs, firearms, BB-guns, air rifles, fireworks or chainsaws are allowed in camp.

  • Quiet hours are enforced between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. All music must be turned off between these hours.

  • Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash at all times and site cleaned when vacated. Pets are not allowed in restrooms or left unattended at site. Only 2 pets allowed per site and vaccination records must be available upon request.

  • Restrooms are provided and must be kept clean. Small children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • No dish, car or trailer washing at washrooms. Washing of cars and trailers at site is forbidden along with watering plants with hoses.

  • Drive 5 miles per hour in camp. Watch out for children at all times. Do not drive off road unless getting to your site.

  • Burn all burnable trash in your fireplace. Do not burn glass or cans.

  • All electrical outlets are grounded. For your own protection use a three-wired cord.

  • Water connections are for filling tanks only, unless used at sites with sewer hookup.

  • All waste water from trailers must be drained into a closed container per PA state regulations.

  • No lifeguard is furnished along stream. Slumber Valley is not responsible for your safety in the water. Please supervise your children in water. Littering is forbidden in camp and along creek.

  • No bottles, cans, or food allowed at waterfalls.

  • Slumber Valley does not assume responsibility for lost or stolen items. All valuables should be locked up when leaving site.

  • Holiday weekends are booked for a minimum of three nights with the site paid in advance. Rainchecks cannot be used for holiday weekends.

  • No early camping arrivals before 10:00 AM. No late camping arrivals after 10:00 PM

  • Seasonal and monthly rates and pavilion rental rate available upon request.

  • Pool regulations are posted and will be enforced at all times.

  • Handicapped stream fishing areas located throughout campground.

  • If you’re walking at night, carry and use a flashlight.

  • Slumber Valley does not assume responsibility to hair or body due to chlorination of pool.

  • Please respect your fellow campers and wildlife. No loud noises or loud music at any time.

  • Horseshoe playing is allowed in designated areas only.

  • No metal detectors allowed in campground.

  • No Chinese lanterns allowed in campground.

  • No drones allowed in campground.
